Winter Wellness Retreat

Winter Wellness Retreat

January 27-29, 2023

Loretta Maryholme Retreat Centre

Keswick, Ontario Lake Simcoe.

Nestled on the shores of Lake Simcoe, this personal wellness retreat is designed to help you slow down, catch your mental breath, replenish yourself and have some delightful time surrounded by the beauty of nature.

By taking time to shut off the noise – the information overload, the scrolling, the laundry, dinners, and obligations – and just take a mental and physical breath that allows you to reconnect with yourself. Let the busyness fall away and tap into that often quiet but oh so persistent and wise voice that lives within

This retreat is set up for you to take a step away from your busy regular life and reconnect with yourself and have your daily needs lovingly taken care of.

Space is limited.

As humans, we too are subject to these cycles of energy and activity.

These seasonal retreats have been created with precisely this in mind.

They are set up for you to get some much needed self-care time. They are held in a space surrounded by nature so you can be immersed in the fullness of the season.
We create a nourishing and safe container where you will have all your needs taken care of. Delicious seasonal food, daily yoga and meditation, and other supports nourish and replenish your mind and body.

The retreat is also set up with some simple teachings based on the 5 elements wisdom of Eastern medicine. These are based on the natural and timeless cycles of nature. This is to help you embrace the true elements of the season. We include writing prompts and guidance to help you connect to your inner world, through the external flow of nature and tune into whatever is present for you, at this moment in time. To tend to your body, your Spirit and your Soul.

Each yoga class, guided meditation, essential oil and acupoint combination will focus on the corresponding seasonal element and meridians.  The fall retreat will focus on the Metal Element: deep release, letting go, connecting to our inner voice and intuition, nourishing the lungs,  strengthening the immune system, and connecting to the preciousness of the present moment.

Retreats are set up to have a mix of experiences. There is time spent as a group in respectful conversation but it is balanced with silence and ample free time to allow you to find your way home to yourself and take care of whatever it is you need to do to feel replenished. Read a book, walk the labyrinth or the local trails or just spend your time looking out the window and simply be-ing.

We create the space and do the work so you don’t have to.

Engage as much or as little as you like.

This is your time.
