With Spring’s arrival we look to nourish and reconnect with the center of our inner power, the place of courage, vitality, will & strength. This nexus is situated in the cavern of our navel called the maṇipūra chakra (translating as “palace of jewels”). Over 3 Saturdays in April, David will guide you through alchemical explorations of yoga āsanas (postures)- both flowing & restorative, prāṇāyāma (breath) & seated meditation (concentration) to enliven & empower your being. Tea will be served.

David Michael Rendall

YTT250, Downward Dog Studio

David began practicing yoga āsana and meditation in 2003 at age 17 to ease depression, anxiety and racing thoughts . He immediately discovered a deep well of stillness & energy inside, and has been practicing ever since. In 2013, he completed his 250H Teacher Training at Downward Dog and currently teaches at Yoga Village, Yoga Star & previously at Mount Sinai Hospital. He teaches slowed down and student-centered versions of the traditional ashtanga-vinyasa sequences & iyengar-based restorative postures. David holds a safe and thoughtfully sequenced space, guiding students towards inner exploration, balance & healing. He believes yoga is a beautiful technology that empowers & enlivens students in mind, body & spirit. He gives thanks to his many teachers, including Ron Reid, Diane Bruni, Michael Stone and the lineage of Sri T. Krishnamacharya.
